Multifamily Construction & Development in Greenville
On Thursday, September 14th, CF Evans Construction hosted a panel discussion at the Old Cigar Warehouse in Greenville, to discuss the challenges and opportunities of building multifamily construction in the area. Panelists included: Rusty Porter (CF Evans), Brian Schick (Woodfield Investments), Chuck Travis (Housing Studio), Joe Bryant (SeamonWhiteside), and Gaye Sprague (Sprague & Sprague/City Councilwoman at Large). The discussion was moderated by David Summers with CF Evans and covered a range of topics, from inspections and permitting to labor shortages and the supply and demand for apartments. There was lively discussion surrounding infrastructure in Greenville as well as the impact of Hurricane Harvey and Irma on the construction industry. The audience members work in a variety of roles within the industry such as law, banking, brokerage, property management, and we had great attendance from other multifamily builders and our valued subcontractors!
Attendees were delighted at the amount of information that was shared and came away having learned more than they expected. Two lucky people walked away with an RTIC cooler, RTIC tumbler, and Aura bluetooth speaker, as well as some CF Evans goodies such as hats and earphones.

After two successful panels, CF Evans is eyeing opportunities to bring the discussion to North Carolina in 2018, adjusting the topics to fit the area and the specific construction and development concerns and opportunities.
