CF Evans Ranks No. 16 Among South Carolina’s Best Places to Work
CF Evans Construction was named No. 16 in the medium employer category on the 2026 Best Places to Work in South Carolina list, announced last night at the awards celebration in Columbia.
Rankings are kept under wraps until the countdown at the ceremony, so our team learned where we landed in the room with honorees from across the state. It is the 18th time CF Evans has earned a place on this list.
Best Places to Work in South Carolina is a research driven program presented by SCBIZ in partnership with Best Companies Group. The evaluation has two parts: an employer questionnaire on policies, practices and benefits, and a confidential employee engagement survey covering culture, leadership and satisfaction. The employee half is the one we pay attention to. Listening to understand is a core value here, and a confidential survey is one of the clearest ways to hear the whole team at once. It tells us where we are creating an environment people can do their best work in, and where we are falling short.
What the answers keep coming back to is the purpose the company runs on.

We build multifamily communities across the Southeast, and the buildings are the visible part. The part that makes them possible is a team that has been developed, trusted and kept. Nearly two decades of showing up on this list means the culture has held through growth, new projects, and years of change. That only happens when people are the priority and not the byproduct.
It also means the values hold up under pressure. We win together, which makes this ranking a team result the same as every project we deliver. We do the right thing when no one is watching, including owning mistakes rather than hiding them, because that is the only way honest feedback becomes real change. And we do whatever it takes for clients who trust us with projects that have to be remarkable, chasing the challenge instead of getting comfortable and raising the bar together year over year.
So credit where it is due. Every person on our crews, in our field offices and at our desks earned this one. Thank you for the honest answers, and thank you for the work that makes those answers what they are.
