CF Evans Construction Honored with NCDOL Gold Safety Awards for 2024

At CF Evans Construction, safety is built into everything we do. It’s a reflection of our commitment to excellence, our people, and the clients we serve. That dedication paid off again this year when the North Carolina Department of Labor (NCDOL) recognized our outstanding safety achievements at three job sites.

2024 Gold Award Recipients:

  • River Arts Apartment Project – Asheville (banquet held June 17)
  • Busbee Project – Clinton (banquet held June 24)
  • Busbee 1A – Asheville (banquet held June 17)

Every project earned Gold status by maintaining a 0.00 DART (Days Away, Restricted or Transferred) and 0.00 CDAW (Cases with Days Away from Work) rate—reflecting true operational excellence.

We’re particularly proud that the Busbee Project has earned this top honor for a second consecutive year, reinforcing the consistency of our safety-first culture.

“Safety is the foundation of how we operate,” said Reed Salley, Safety Director at CF Evans. “These awards reflect the accountability and care our teams show for one another every day on the job.”

Representatives from each awarded project attended regional NCDOL safety banquets in June, where the certificates were formally presented.

We’re proud of our teams and grateful to every team member who makes jobsite safety a priority – keeping each other safe and delivering exceptional results, every day.
