CF Evans Presents Annual Core Value Awards

This past Friday, CF Evans Construction employees gathered at “The Joe”, the Charleston Riverdogs Stadium, for their annual company meeting. Team members gathered in the stands, on the field, or in the beautiful Riley Park Club, and enjoyed food and each others company while hitting a few baseballs. Not many of us are ready to join the Riverdogs anytime soon, a fact that Johnny Evans, Executive Chairman, pointed out during his welcome. David Summers, President, reviewed the year to date and our successes and opportunities, while John Slavich, VP of HR, went over the results of the Best Places to Work Survey, highlighting the important takeaways.

At each company meeting we end with our Annual Core Value Awards. It is a joy and a privilege to present these awards to team members whose fellow employees have nominated them for their hard work and embodiment of the core values that make CF Evans the unique company it is.
This years winners are:
Dedication: Cindy Shuler
Integrity: Jared Porter
Respect: Matt Ferrell
Partner Relationships: Hank Rhame & Gunthar Schultz
Teamwork: Andrew Whitlock
Accountability: Taylor Myers
We ask our Safety Compliance Officer, Hank Rhame, to nominate an individual for our Champion of Safety Award. This year that award went to Rick Gulino, Superintendent of The Vine in Raleigh, NC.
The Clarence F. Evans Experience Award, named for our founder and given to the employee who most demonstrates what customer service means to us; the employee who most embodies our values and lives our brand, was given this year to Dan Osborne, Senior Project Manager.

“Our employees are spread out across the Carolina’s,” commented Summers. “This meeting is a chance for us to get together and catch up, share lessons learned and ideas, and celebrate the amazing individuals we have on our team.”
