Our Projects

Windham House

Aiken, South Carolina

Since being charted as a non-profit corporation in 1971, the Aiken Area Council on Aging, Inc. has provided transportation, wellness, nutrition and affordable senior living throughout Aiken County. The Windham House project, funded by HUD, was constructed to meet the needs of lower-income residents while adding value to its larger community. The 4-story apartment complex consists of 47 units, a common area and is handicap accessible. The project met the National Affordable Housing Management Association-s high standard of excellence in maintenance and management practices and received the Community of Quality recognition.

"Your staff and crew have been a pleasure to work with...have been a real asset to the project and have been more than willing to address any issues we may have encountered. I look forward to continuing our relationship on upcoming projects for our agency.
